Loofah Quality Control Protocol Before Shipment

A documented pre-shipment QC protocol reduces disputes and gives buyers confidence before goods leave the factory. Natural fiber has inherent variation, so the protocol should define acceptable tolerance, not expect uniform perfection.

Sampling method

Agree on a sampling standard, such as a percentage of cartons or an AQL-based approach, and specify whether sampling is random across the full production batch or limited to finished-goods stock at the time of inspection.

Defect classification

Separate defects into categories such as critical, major and minor, with clear examples for each: for instance, mold or odor as critical, size deviation beyond tolerance as major, and minor color variation as acceptable within a stated range.

What inspectors should check

Dimensions, density consistency, stitching or seam integrity, moisture condition, packaging accuracy, carton marks and quantity per carton are typical checkpoints. Photograph representative samples, including any defects found, for the shipment record.

Sign-off and shipment hold

Define who has authority to approve or hold a shipment based on inspection results, and the timeline for resolving failed inspections. A written protocol prevents last-minute disagreement about what "acceptable quality" means.
